Problem
Busy schedules often lead people to skip cooking or rely on restaurant food. Users needed a faster way to discover recipes using ingredients they already had, while reducing the effort of finding and shopping for missing ingredients.
Key Design Decisions
Ingredient-based discovery — Recipes are suggested around ingredients users already have.
Video-first cooking guidance — Research showed a strong preference for learning recipes through video, so video became a core part of the experience.
Integrated ingredient shopping — Users can shop for missing ingredients instead of abandoning a recipe.
